So glad you could pop in.
I'm sorry I'm late, Shazz has virtually taken over my PC because hers won't talk to the internet... 
As for the leg, it gets better... bl**dy slowly that is! It will take another 4 to 6 weeks for it to get over that blast it received. At least that is what the vet, sorry the doctor said

Life is very fine indeed my friend.
I'm sorry to hear that the leg is going to take that long to heal-is irt a bone injury or a muscle one? I broke all the ligaments behind my kneecap as a child, and it required very nasty surgery, so I have some idea of how annoying a leg injury can be.
I went and read your piece on Loudon Wainwright, btw. Very fine piece about one of the world's better kept musical secrets.
