Hi Loony,
I had a good look through the lamburgers thread, cos I remember it to be an article I enjoyed reading. I'm quite happy that I personally didn't give any false impression that the entry had been submitted. Yowazupman had at the time only just been recruited as a scout, and being very new to it probably just miffed it a bit. Why not just drop him an email reminding him that he had implied that he had submitted the entry for the guide? I'm sure that with the extra pick we all have now, he can submit it forthwith.
I think that the problem is that you are a prolific and excellent writer of articles - I wish I could say that about myself 
Some articles are bound to be left by the wayside (for now), but others aren't ('small food' is a good example).
I really do agree that it is a shame when excellent articles get missed or the sub process goes awry, but don't be too hard on the scout involved - he was still finding his feet
