I have to admit, I'm kind of skeptical. Just out of curiousity, why does the anti-religion ban eating meat? If there's no expectations or laws, why are you dictating dietary restrictions?

Yeah. I dont get why vegetarians dont eat meat. Notice how there werent any of them protesting about how animals are gods creatures too back when there was nothing else to eat in the hunter gatherer sociteties?

I confees I'm a meat eater
BUT ...
I try to by only meat from organically reared free range animals
visit a factory farm and you will never eat meat from one again
get a biochemist to explain in laymans terms wot all the things farmers inject/feed there factory animals do and how they are still present in the meat you buy .. and once again you want to eat meat from a factory farm again
right thats my tupence worth

it is a fallacious argument to compare the killing of animals in one system to justify the life-long pain and misery of factory-farmed animals in another!

PEOPLE ARENT HERBIVORES. People are omnivores. It simply isnt natural for humans to have a diet consisting completely of plants.

I am agnostic and choose not to eat meat; because the meat on offer represents the end product of cruel and painful systems where animals exist without any moment of natural pleasure or 'happiness'. Please don't say that animals can feel nothing - you know that isn't true. It is also unfortunately true that after painful lives, many animals suffer even more painful deaths. This isn't really 'natural' - is it ?
On the whole vegetarians don't tell other people what to do. But they do offer meat eaters information about what is going on . . .
