I knew that there was an Isle of Wight County that's not an actual island, and apparently is one of the first US counties. I've got an Isle of Wight Cookbook where the first half is recipes from the Isle of Wight promoting local ingredients and the second half are recipes from Isle of Wight County Virginia (but as I can't cook I've not tried making any of 'em). I didn't know about the ham 
and peanut, though.
