Gender or sex
Posted May 22, 1999
I've noticed another damned instance of the word "gender" being used as a euphemism for "sex".
"Gender" means "type": it's like the word "genre". The word for the state of being male of female is "sex".
Why don't people damn well say sex if they mean it?
