A12737748 - your entry. I really enjoyed it. I'd never heard of this painting before, but now I've looked it up and can appreciate it.

I have a few questions before I finish it up:

you mention the Haywain as an example of the expulsion of adam and eve, but when I googled the title I found this:

which has nothing to do with Adam an Eve.

Could you specify the artist?



another line which I quite frankly did not understand was the following:

also, you quote some lines out of a poem called the Romance of the Roses. Yet the lines are in blocktext form, not in lines, as a poem would be. Is this on purpose?

ok.the Haywain is by Hieronymus Bosch also..and it in Madrid at the reina de Sofia aswell

I wrote the lines of the romance of the Rose in block text because the poem was originally wrote in French, then changed into English by Chaucer...so in both languages the spacing is slightly different and I therefore didn't knwo where the correct spacing was as different versions have different spacings etc...and I didn't want to do it wrong and be criticised...or look stupid...

erm...the phallic symbol is in reference to the painting and how it is depicted in there, however that is fairly confusing and therefore may be taken out

what else? The Vision of Tundale is a very old poem by............erm it escapes me but I'll look that up too...

The Jesus darkness thing..just ignore..delete it i do not have a clue where i was going...it was a momentary flash of genius/insanity that i will never recapture!

Visions of Tundale was originally written by Marcus , a benedictine monk in latin...however as witha ll classical stories it is complicated...the version I am referring to was a later version shortened by Helinand and then the copy which was later often referred to was by St. Vincent of Beauvais. So i would put it by St. Vincent of Beauvais however as with most classical literature it isn't strictly correct...QI!
