weather
Seanie Posted Jun 23, 1999
No, the pastie thing was just a guess...
Don't know the ice cream either, but I wondered how you pronounced Scone, do you say s-cone or S-Kon, So the joke goes 'Q:What's the fastest cake in the world A:Scone'
Hey ho....

Expecting thunderstorms today - its 7:30 a.m. EST, and its 75 degrees F outside.
Yesterday it was full sun and upper 80s. Growing up here, you learn to never sit out without sunscreen spf20 or higher.
(the FDA - food and drug administration - has decided that a really "good thing" would be to eliminate the spf system of sunscreen ratings. To whom does this make sense?)
I hope it doesn't rain for long, my hair curls riotously in damp.

Hi WSFN
we are actually predicted a good glastonbury w/e
Why o why did my english exam have to be this afternoon or I would have gone.
I get ickle curls when it rains
weather
wsfn Posted Jun 25, 1999
ikle curls? Que es "ikle"? My curles are somewhere between carded sheeps wool and an afro (in a rather light brown colour).
Thunderstorms didn't happen yesterday...but perhaps today. I'm more used to being furter West where it rains in torrents for an hour each summer evening.
This is drier than that. When it does rain we get lots of wind, thunder, lightning, hail, tornadoes, etc.

Wheather is not doing as it should, we've had drizzle overnight, but no proper storms. (At least when it rains while I'm at work, I don't feel obligated to water the plants when I get home, now I water them and their drowning by morning!)
Thanks for the ikle info...kind of like itsy, bitsy, or diddy, eh?

read a book. (sorry, not only am I a bibliophile, my mother is a librarian). It isn't doing anything its supposed to this time of year (except be hot). We keep having night rains washing out all my plants (at least the ones the squirels haven't eaten yet) from their pots. Oh well, I will be heading further west for the upcoming (US) holiday weekend. It should be even more dry and hot. A camping we will go, a camping we will go, hi ho a dary o, a camping we will go. Have a lovely,

Haven't seen any rain, upper 80s F, cloudless blue sky...BLECHK! I miss Cleveland (London was very dry the year I was there), in Cleveland you get proper rain, nice grey clouds most of the time, a small comforting sky. A warm day is 82 F, not 97! I miss lake-effect weather.
I haven't read a book for pleasure myself in 6 months. I'm taking/student teaching a class right now, and medieval through 17th century British Literature next term. 4 days a week, two hours a day of Chaucer through Shakespere (and I work full time)! I need to read a good non-serious book.
Have a lovely break,

I am a Technical Publications Writer/Editor/Graphic Artist/Lead at the worlds largest Government Contractor. (Sounds a lot better than it is, code for bad pay - little authority - no creativity allowed.)

Me student too. English. Formerly Art History. Don't see the connection? Neither did they...ha ha ha...he he! I do believe that I am on the road to being a proffesional student...if only the pay wasn't so bad! It has forced me to have a career in the meantime. (that feeding the kids thing really throws a spanner in the works, as it were).
