May I change:

What do you think of switching that around to:
The members of the BBC management who were, at least initially, in the front line of the dispute, were Managing Director of BBC Radio Aubrey Singer, deputy Managing Director Douglas Muggeridge, and BBC Controller of Music Robert Ponsonby.

That's why I asked you first,
What about the switch of the comma:
The members of the BBC management who, at least initially, were in the front line of the dispute
to
The members of the BBC management who were, at least initially, in the front line of the dispute
We don't have to do this tonight, I'm aware it's getting late...and I was just about to log out when I saw your post.

It would be good if the Eds can time this to appear on the FP at the start of the Prom season next month

I'll try and finish subbing it today but I won't return it until I have your final approval, the sooner it's returned the quicker it'll hit the FP
I'm aware you can't post here during the day so I'll just post things and you answer when you can, (remember the check the links I've added, or have you already?)

The Alternate First Night
The players of the BBC Symphony Orchestra had arranged an alternative 'First Night' to be held at the Wembley Conference Centre, conducted by Sir Colin Davis.
Header = Alternate
Text = alternative

Same section, did pianist Cristina Ortiz just play the Piano Concerto? If so, shouldn't I remove the comma after Concerto:
<<The programme consisted of Tchaikovsky's B flat minor Piano Concerto, with pianist Cristina Ortiz,>>
<>
Mind if I change that to:
By Saturday, 2 August, the deal struck had been approved by the BBC orchestras who voted 393 for, and 80 against, ending the strike.

suggested change to:
That first concert, conducted by John Pritchard, began with Mahler's Fourth Symphony with Jessye Norman singing the alto part in the final movement, and, in the second half, French music by Messiaen, Berlioz and Ravel.
