Birthday breakfast
Galaxy Babe - eclectic editor Posted Mar 3, 2011
and for my father, celebrating today in the Great Beyond.
I'm trying to arrange lunch with my mother and sister, which is a logistical nightmare as Y is working today and can't change a client's lunchtime appointment, and Gordon and I have to be at the first OAP home with Snoopy at 2pm, so early lunch is required

Had such a lovely day today. Took Mum grocery shopping (as yesterday was having a new washer delivered and plumbed in) then back to hers for then met my sister and Gordon at the Wellow for lunch. We left at 1.45 to go collect Snoopy for the OAP Homes visits and having a chat with Ada (103) whom I had messages for from my Facebook friends who've seen her photo with Snoopy, well she was astonished that I have a daughter in her thirties, she said she thought I was about 23. () I told her that I'm 55 and have 3 grandsons and her jaw almost hit the floor,
I mentioned it to Gordon afterwards and he said "She does have poor eyesight, you know!" but then he winked
and for now?

I'm having major problems with my one left at home. He hardly ever goes in to college now, and this morning rolled in at 6.30am, glad I didn't wait up.
He's 18 in a fortnight. That'll be a day for me, end of parental duties and worries...what's that you say?
Right, must get a move on, no time for breakfast today, have to collect mother and take her grocery shopping then for lunch, oh joy, I just LOVE driving in thick fog

Good luck, dear.
I don't like to mention it, but you do still worry sometimes about the others, don't you? It's part of the small print on the contract you're given when they're born.

Excellent news indeed for Icy.
As an side, wifey has discovered today that an ancestor of her's (26x greatgrandfather or something like that) was a signatory of Magna Carta. His forebears came over from France with the Norman invasion - bit of frog in her then
She was only able to trace this back because twice in the family line she is descended from second sons of nobles. Second sons note, so no inheritance

What a super load of cakes. I shall have to watch the sugar levels carefully as I have a diabetes check soon and they rose greatly during my radiotherapy.
I've also been spending time on my family tree, but with nothing so illustrious. Perilously close to the workhouse. My grandparents seem to have managed to conceal themselves from authority very well, not even giving their ages on their marriage certificate.

and
Best thing about h2g2 cakes is that they are calorie-free and sugarless. Taste sooo good though Maestro and I haven't put an ounce on since we began indulging here
When I was in Spain last year, my hostess had traced her family tree back and got much the same as you, WS. Then she did her hubby's, and found he was blue-blooded
I'm off to the Heart Clinic this morning for my annual MOT, with luck there'll be no invasive tests as I did the fasting-blood and urine 2 weeks ago and the results are back so I'll find out the damage today. Looking forward to those cold, sticky pads on my chest with great relish, I am
