I have a question...in 1894 what (roughly) was 1,000 marks a week worth? You can estimate an equivalent in today's smiley - 2cents if you likesmiley - ok

How's it looking so far? smiley - smiley

Right, I'm almost done, one thing more, I'd like to discuss the title, which doesn't really *grab* the reader's attention.

*Gustav Mahler in London* is fine - if you want to keep it that way, just say.

Here are my suggestions for you to consider:

Gustav Mahler's Only Performance in London (plus year or not)

Gustav Mahler - One-Time London Appearance (plus year or not)

Or, if you can think of a catchier title...smiley - bigeyes

Think about it, I have to go out so I'll get back to you latersmiley - biggrin

smiley - cheers

Also, I've had to remove the link to "Wagner's Opera House - Bayreuth, Bavaria" as it's unedited, but it can always be linked back if it is finished and submitted to Peer Review by the author Azarasmiley - ok

'morning GB. How about 'enchanted' in place of poisoned. I must admit that when I wrote it, I had in mind something in the nature of a poisoned chalice rather than a lethal draught, although of course ultimately it is.

wrt cross-referencing - how is this handled? I've had the same problem with cross-references to other articles of my own. The series on the Mahler symphonies has plenty of forward and reverse references.

Yoo-hoo! Do you believe in coincidence? There was I, finishing off my entry on Christopher Reeve - when I came across a reference to Mahler, it's a kind of "degree separated" thing but I've mentioned it in the entry as a balance to all the "Superman" stuff (he didn't like being typecast)

In case you're interested the link is: A2862795 and it's currently in Peer Review if you'd like to comment, you'd be most welcomesmiley - ok

Thanks for pointing me at that one GB - it's one of those inclusion references that I was unware of, not having seen the film.

Do read my edited entry on the film.smiley - ok

It's still one of my all-time favourites. I treated myself to it on DVD when it came out, (HMV stock it), my daughter managed to get me the soundtrack of the film from Sheffield's Meadowhall Centre years ago, for a Mother's Day smiley - gift
