A question of permission

Ex Libris Draconium [Taking a vacation from h2g2]

Greetings, Mammoth. I am a member of my high school's freshman speech team, and I'm looking for material. Specifically, humorous material for my event, humorous oral interpretation. While looking on the guide I found your essay "Life as a wannabe writer". (#A531820) I was wondering if you would allow permission for me to read it at any of my speech competitions. I'm not sure about what I am and am not allowed to do in regards to taking information off the Guide, so I'm staying on the safe side.
I am comfortable discussing this on the Guide conversations or by email--I'll give you my address if you'd like. Thanks for your cooperation with this.

~Wes

Sorry, I've been away for quite some time. I'm very flattered you want to use my article, and being a wannabe writer I understand the need for "inspiration" smiley - winkeye
So as long as you tell me how we did, and you make sure nobody else in the competition goes to h2g2.com, I see no reason why not.

Good luck smiley - winkeye

Sorry to say, I didn't get confirmation early enough, so I had to choose another selection in time for the meet a few weeks ago. Looking around, I found that "Cyrano de Bergerac" is a lot funnier when read aloud than when read to oneself.
I still found your piece entertaining, though. Continue writing more like it!
