I still think they ought to name storms, hurricanes, snowcanes and whatevers after climate change deniers

The folks at Snopes were thinking what I was thinking.

Attractive?
Could only be of interest to others of their own kind.
'Bomb cyclone'?
Air pressure chages so rapid that despite one being stationary one's ears pop?
I've been throough a few.
One of them was accompanied by an orange rain.

I sometimes wonder if they serve broth in brothels. Maybe orange rain is an ingredient.

I'd rather lead a sheltered life than spend my life in a shelter.
I'm inside where it's warm, and where everything around me has memories for me.

I have strong seasonal tendencies. In warm weather I'll use any excuse to be outside. When it's bitter cold, I want to hibernate.

Well,
At some point I seem to have changed my password here but forgot to tell myself I did so.
Weekend before last, there was some trouble here and I wasn't able to log in. I tried on a few devices before I gave up figuring it wasn't just me. The next day, I found I was still logged in on most of my devices, except my phone. I tried a couple of more times to log in with it, but no luck.
Just now, I tried an experiment. I opened an incognito window in Chrome and tried to log in. No luck.
So, now I'm in a predicament. Do I bite the bullet and reset my password? Or just keep using my current state of being logged in with an unknown password.
I guess I need to contact the Gurus and make sure my email address on file is one I still have access to before I do anything.

with that, Baron
PS: You may want to use the address moderators at h2g2.com as I'm not sure the gurus' are still functioning

I was able to confirm my address just by checking "My Preferences", but I can't help but be apprehensive.
If you don't see me again, tell my wife she's a liar, 'cause I ain't married.

Ooohkay!?
I'm not sure what just happened there. I opened the Preferences (vogons) page and entered my previous password and clicked "update" and it took me back to my home page.
And I was just able to log in via firefox, which I wasn't logged in on.
Let me try my phone again...
And I'm back in.
It's like h2g2 forgot my password until I reminded it that it already had it.
There's probably a serious security issue involved.

Could be, h2g2 is pretty damn old in interwebs years.
Oh, and my little experiments also introduced me to the new Catpcha/Voight-Kampff tests. I passed... eventually.
