Hi Chris
Thanks for subediting my entry. There's something I'd like to change, if I may:-
"When you write a cheque, you are reducing their debt to you."
has become...
"When you write a cheque **to someone**, you are reducing their debt to you."
I think that the sentence is now confusing. It is the bank's debt that is being reduced, not the someone's. Maybe the sentence could read...
"When you write a cheque to someone, you are reducing the bank's debt to you."
Do you see what I am getting at?
