Thanks - I appreciate your checking in. 
The scenario we're looking at now is merely one of severe inconvenience.
The folks from our emergency management bureaucracy (FEMA) are in town and we have a go ahead to start placing large corrugated metal pipes in the river to make a temporary (up to a year, I'll bet) bridge until we can construct a permanent replacement.
I had my towel with me, I'm proud to say
