um, i was just wondering if perhaps you could help me please.
i really want to take part in the flash poetry challenges (the reason i am asking you is because your name is at the top of the converstion thread) but i don't know what to do.
how do you take part?
i.e where are the challenges posted and what is the criteria for entering? where do you post your poems etc etc.
sorry, i have tried to work it but don't really get it. i'm not usually this scatty - honest!
any instruction you could give me would be greatly appreciated.
although don't worry if you can't help/haven't got time/whatever. i'm very shy and don't want to put you to any trouble.

Hi jacksprat. Sorry I have not been around on the flash poetry thread for a little while. It seemed to take a different direction with everyone writing limericks so I left them to it.

The original idea is to get four random words posted and everyone has to do a poem which included those four words, ni any order, rhyming or non rhyming. You have to try and write it as quickly as possible, hence the flash. It's a bit hard to do on here as a flash so I just say tyoe the four words at the top of a doc and try to write what comes into your head and get it down in ten to twenty minutes. It's sometimes quite astounding what comes out of this sort of writing from the subconscious.

I will pop over to the thread and post four new words and try to monitor it and make comments on the poems.
