Another couple of things we have a tag which displays the name of the researcher visiting the page so don't be concerned if you see your name on someone's space that researcher is just using tag some of them are quite amusing but harmless

And the 'eyes' next to a researchers name show they are online

if you write that to all the newcommers you must be worn out quickly. I appreciate it though. I am going to add you to my friend list so hopeful;ly if I need help on something you can assist me, and if there is anything off of H2G2 I can do for you just let me know... a couple questions if you don't mind. the place where the eyes are if the person is online... on one persons name it says his screen name, on mine it just says resercher 242005, how do i change all that to my name and stuff? also, is there any way to contact anyone on here outside of a post? like an H2G2 messenger or anything? and if not, how do I just post to that person without responding to something they say? I appreciate all the help, and yes I would very much like to be a participant and add documents and such to the guide. any help and your friendship will be always appreciated, by the way my real name is dave.

Hello Dave, nice to hear from you, I see you've answered one of your questions, and got your name sorted

No, there's no messenger or anything simular, there's also no privacy here, anyone on the 'net' can read posts, whether they are registered or not.

You can leave a message on any page here. Every page has a 'button' depending on what skin your using they either say 'Discuss This Entry' or 'Start a Conversation' Just click that, and type away, it's always a good idea to click 'Preview' first, You can't change a Post once it's been Posted.

The online eyes, they update every 15mins, so someone could be offline, even when eyes are 'showing'

Hi, thanks for writting back. just out of curiosity... I have been wanting to write a few entrys, but I am not sure what to write about. I assume that everything is a valad topic since there was quite a long discusion about condoms and stuff like that. I was thinking maybe going into and writting about the "Cha no yu" or the japanese tea cerimony... I love japanese things. anyway I was wondering if you had any ideas or tips that would be helpfull in either picking out a subject or writting about it, I read the thing on here about how to write but that was all stuff I either knew or figured anyway.

Hmmmm a bit tricky for me to answer Dave, as I don't do much writting myself. If that's what interests you, and you know enough about it to write an entry, or know where to look to find the info for it, then go ahead. Any Guide Entries you create, will be part of the Guide usually within 24hrs. Unfortunately no Edited Entries are being processed at the moment.
