And this is the second incarnation I've given "help for newbies" to, when presumably he didn't *actually* need it. And one of my concerns is that too much of that and people are going to stop bothering, and newcomers who genuinely want assistance won't get it.

Maybe dear Liam will try to start a fight with Jim Lynn!
If he does, I hope he packs a lunch... he'll need his strength!

Jab [Since 29th November 2002] Posted Feb 2, 2004
Old Hairy, hi, you posted in that thread to come here. Then you posted to Jim Lynn.
Since Jim Lynn is a techy-bod he is of some interest to a fare few researchers, so they are subsribed to his personal space.
Your "discreet" post appeared on countless personal spaces, when you posted to Jims message center. There I posted a link back to here. Sorry if what I posted after you might appear curt, it's just I knew Jim Lynns stance on moderation.
I did not point anybody back to the 'Ask' thread, at all. Even though I don't think hiding such 'events' as Lee helps. I did in the 'Ask' thread, follow your own pointer, with a secondary one to here. Between us thats three pointers to here, the thing you wanted?
Open...
For five weeks another and I have been watching Lee, without saying anththing in public, until the Ask thread appeared, this week. If no mention was made of U565055 (set-up so regular personal spaces neen not be clogged with post about Lee) I would have said nothing about it. But since it's known of, it may be worth using as an reference point, personal spaces being more flexable than journals alone.
I will say, not only has Lee been breaking the law in the real world context, with some of his claims. Hes doing this site no service. Lee has people running after shadows.
Consider this... Some of those posting within the 'Ask' thread as independent people, that agree Lee has been doing wrong, may infact be Lee.
If it was upto me, we would all have to show our U number in our nicknames, and every personal space would show an IP or MAC address. Anything that is above the technical ability of a digibox user to fake. - Yes I'm posting from such a device, and do accept its a growing number that abuse there 'easy ride' to h2g2.
This does not mean digibox users should be automatically discriminated against, just for not using a PC/Mac. That would be elitist nonsence.
If, Lee is 17, he is not allowed a Telewest account, so his parents/guardian are allowing this criminality. What's wrong with this picture?

I figured out yesterday that LOOPYBOOPY is another alias for Oetzi Oetztaler (spelling?) I didn't get the impression there was any involvement with this whole debacle

Jab.. dont know m8... but i know for a fact Lee is 17, i myself am 19 and using a digibox.. all the t/west email services have a IP address or else we wouldnt be able to email people.
Its just finding the IP address thats the problem, for the simple reason only t/west databases hold the IP address for all the users of TVEmail.

Well, Oetzi is a well-known and respected name, so no worries there...although appears to be in pre-mod already...but OO has been known for somewhat, shall, we say, "trenchant" views...
Has anyone informed Flicker U552096 about the abuse her son (?) is performing, presumably on her Telewest account (assuming his claims to be 15/17/18/17 have basis in fact?)

Flicker seems to have gone AWOL by the look of her PS...
...which looks disturbingly like those that Lee/Liam used to set up before he entered his faux naif phase...egad! He'll be doing Blue Period next! Maybe he's a conceptual virtual artist!

Not sure I follow you, Scott. I've had no problems with Oetzi, don't know him/her. Was just checking out the names.
Your mate Liam, on the other hand, showed up in my space yesterday, as The Devil. I pretty bluntly hinted he wasn't welcome, then told him flat out to stay out of my space, and he still came back. So I reported him to the moderators, explained what a little he's been, said he was harassing me, and asked them to do something about it.
I haven't heard back from them, but his return post has been removed from my space. That's something, at least. Then again, he seems to have become MickeyMouse already, so it doesn't look like it's over, yet.
All I know is I'm REALLY sick of this whole crock of
