Dear Len (Snowie)
I have enjoyed reading some of your stories - by enjoyed I mean that I think they are very well written and visual. I was wondering - have you seen this article?

It bears a striking resemblance to your own voyage to Singapore, and I wonder if it might have been the same convoy?
With best wishes, Mark

Dear Mark'
Yes, the 4th Norfolks were in 18th Div., but probably in a different brigade; we were in the 55th. So they were likely to have been in a different convoy.
Apart from that, the timing appears to be wrong, I had kept a diary, and Pearl Harbour and the US entry into the war occurred well after we left Cape Town.
He was also evidently in a different group in Thailand, as his record is quite different from mine.
Many thanks for pointing the article out to me.
Yours Len Baynes
