D-Day Memory 6-6-2004
Alfredo Started conversation Jun 6, 2004
At T.V. I watched all day the memorial ceremonies at Normandiƫ of D-Day June the sixth 1944.
Especially the veterans, and comrads that did not return, were honoured
I could write for hours what moved me, but I must spare my hands.
But at the very end, I saw veterans who hold each others hands while singing.
I cried, because it said the whole story of war and life.
Thanks to all that came to liberate Europe.
Thanks to all that supported them at home.
A nation that respects itself, respects its dead and veterans,
and thats what happened today;
The English, Americans, Canadians, and many more nationalities.
Russian soldiers fought at the East - side of Europe.
Now Europe is at peace and even united.
I will not forget the price that was paid by all those men and women; at the frontlines and at home.
Thanks !
