dutch accent
Lectori Salutem,
I wonder whether or not this phrase exists in the English language, I mean the "Lectori Salutem” part.
I'm trying to enter this text using speech recognition in. Trust me, it's a hell of a job, actually is quite impossible when you're not a native speaker in English. The computer just refuses to understand my pronunciation of ‘th’, allright, I give up, it won’t work!
The computer won’t understand my ‘th’ and that is crucial because I have to command it to ‘undo that’, ‘correct that’, ‘erase that’; I just don’t speak English fluent enough. I think the folks at Dragon Naturally Speaking should have added “English with a bad Dutch accent” to the list of possible languages. Now I had to choose between American English and Brittish English. I wonder how the folks at Air Traffic Control understand all those so badly uttered English ‘phrases’, witgh heavy Arab, Indian, French, Polynesian, Scandinavian accents. I heard Dutch pilots once speaking English, they didn’t even try to make it sound like real English, it seemed as if it they tried to let it sound as Dutch as possible.
Allright, my intention is to write an entry about RSI and maybe speech recogninition from a user’s point of view,... would anybody think that’s interesting?
If that’s relevant, I’m a student Industrial Design Engineering.
That’s enough irrelevant nonsense.
