Starting at last

Even though I had got the job and been to the induction, I still did not have a start date ! Finally after calling and leaving messages I find out I am to start this Saturday, though I could of started last Sunday but they forgot to mention that !

I'm hoping that even though its only two nights a week I can get full time soon and even better will be if I can get into the bakery section.

Not really had a great couple of days, been feeling a bit sorry for myself. My brother has taken on himself to ignore me and I've been kicked out of being an admin on another website (Which seems to have been a set up !), so will be glad to get to football on Sat and then off to work that night.

Oh happy days :)

I got a job today smiley - smileysmiley - smiley

If fact I kind of got it last Thursday but got it confirmed today, after three months of nothing I am over the moon.

The job (night shift at local supermarket) is not great but its good money and means I can afford to do the course.

Watched Pompey under 19's play my nearest football team Andover tonight, we lost 0 - 3 but it was fun none the less.

And how hot is it ?!!! I love this weather as I can't always enjoy it during June/July as I have really bad hayfever.

Summers over :(

It has been raining like a mad man today, even though it still supposed to be summer. Oh well.

Had an interesting morning as I started my first day at the local volunteer office. Going to be helping them update the UK's national volunteer website (www.do-it.org.uk). Haven't done any updates so far but just went over the system manual and stuff.

Going to be really cool I think, hope to be able to dispell the images some people have of volunteering!

Part time work

Having not done any part time work since leaving school (I am now 32) it felt really strange going to the interview at Tescos today. The woman interviewing me read my first entry, something about the volunteering I am doing, and said I'd got the job there and then !

It might not seem like much, but after several months of no interviews and too many rejection letters, its good to get back doing some sort of work. Plus the money should be fairly good as its nights and weekend work.
