Another year and time once again to update all about me.
Have changed my job and am now working with children as a Service Co-ordinator. A new challenge to get my teeth into.
Eldest daughter is now married and I am now hoping the youngest will find the man of her dreams- soon - she deserves it!
I have a new dog, now six months old, a pretty cream long haired chihuahua that is driving me into an early grave! Its good to go to work - I get a break! The dog goes out in the garden, runs about, sniffs, barks and then comes in to do a 'wee'! I must be giving mixed messages somewhere. If I take the newspaper outside it blows away and if I dispense with it all together, she just wee's anywhere!!!
Well thats my life at the moment.
But I'm happy

Hello again!
Posted Jan 16, 2006
Well hello everyone, I've been away from the site for nearly two years due to pressure of work! Just came back in and its taken me nearly 30 minutes to sign in! As I see there have been some problems in that area I will not be signing out!
I need to catch up with all the news and see how all my special friends are, its going to take some time!! I must keep in touch better in the future. I am still following the rugby and hope to get back to providing some news in that area again - that is if no one has taken over the job in my absence, hope not, but if they have I will have to find something else to write about. I shall look around and be back in print again soon!! Hope everyone is keeping well, even if the days are long dark and really miserable at the moment. Speak to you all soon.

Close encounter with a red kite!
Posted Nov 19, 2003
I,m not sure if I am lucky or not, to have witnessed this today.
My pen name Red Kite was chosen because I regularly see the red kites flying over my garden and have always thought how lucky I am to see such an impressive sight. They are beautiful and big, a real treat to the eye. Today when I took the food out for the birds that come to my garden, doves, blackbirds, robins the usual garden types and a flock of about twelve wood pigeons that have gradually grown from just two, I was startled by a movement to my right down below me. I turned to see what it was and a Red Kite flew up from the lawn just about eight feet away. Wow what a sight!
Now the bad news. What was it doing on the lawn? It had killed one of the wood pigeons and was in the middle of devouring it, headfirst!
I was really sorry for the pigeon, however I was also sorry that I had disturbed the kite. I left the remains for a while but the kite did not return, so mindful of the rest of the pigeons feelings, I disposed of them.
The garden has been quieter today, the security is gone for the birds who usually 'hang around' all day. It has the same feeling as woodlands do after a hunt has passed through. The kites can still be seen soaring high up in the sky, seeking prey, especially having lost out this morning. Hopefully tomorrow peace will return to the garden.
(Amy the ants picture that I inserted at the bottom of my page, has turned out to be quite prophetic. I must be careful what other pictures I use - just in case!)

Chuff, chuff!
Posted Oct 15, 2003
My first journal entry! Just to say I am really chuffed that I have been able to brighten my space with a picture! I really wasn't sure I knew how to do it but there it is - done! This may seem somewhat trivial in the great scheme of things but for me its an achievement. Only trouble is I shall now have to do other things to the page to top it! Well my motto is slowly does it, so don't expect too much too quickly!
