"Afoot and light-hearted I take to the open road,
Healthy, free, the world before me,
The long brown path before me leading wherever I choose."

Walt Whitman is highly recommended as well - as a late additional payment for the use of your name. smiley - smileysmiley - smooch

Only 2, well I'll try and restrict myself smiley - winkeye
To start with 1 of my favourite authors, Brian Moore, once discribed by Graham Greene as his favourite living author. My favourie work of his is "The Emperor of Ice Cream". All his stuff is good but others I particularly like are "Catholics" and "Black Robe". Count that as 1 great book smiley - smiley.
2nd great work that springs to mind I can't recall the name of the author so I'll get back to you on that but its called "A Canticle for Leibowitz", a black comedy set post-nuclear holocaust.
Tell me if you've read any of the above and I'll come up with something else.
The ad I want run is , ta very much smiley - smiley
