I've started reading your journal, 'Tommy's War Part 1', and I'm gripped! It's great stuff and I thank you for writing it all down for us. My granddad was from the Gorbals and I've just read the bit about your scrapes on Glasgow Green. I look forward to reading more. Many thanks once again for sharing this.

Tommy - I copied this into Word to print it out in a readable format - it's 254 pages!! Thank you for putting all this down for us. I shall print it out and read it on the train next weekend (going to meet some other hootooers in Cologne)

My father is about your age and is writing it all down, too - but it's slow going. He was in the Navy, too, possibly the same area as you.
