I'm the Sub-editor assigned to your entry on Rum (never mind, better luck next time ).

You can see the copy I'm working on at A1155854 , if there's anything you don't like - tough!! (No seriously, just leave me a message and we can discuss it).

I really don't expect there to be any problem as this is a good article and well written, on a first look through there only seems to be a couple of minor details mostly in GML.

I've just had a first pass through your entry and I thought I'd mention a couple of points for your future reference.

Let me say that these are NOT mistakes by you - it's just that h2g2 has a sort of 'house' style. See A266131

I had to remove the link on 'Bay Rum' - we only link to Edited entries as others can be removed or if they get edited the address changes. I added a footnote instead.
In hootoo entries, use single quotes instead of double quotes.
All paragraphs should be in ... (you don't really need Align=left as that's the default)

As I say these are not mistakes - I only mention them for your future reference.


By the way, I ran across A647886 , I don't know if you saw it yourself and decided not to use it ( perhaps as a comparison with poteen, moonshine or mountain dew etc )?

ps Your final paragraph reminds me of the man who walks into a bar, he sees his doctor there and goes up beside him. He asks the barman for his usual rum and when it arrives there's a wooden chopstick in the glass. The doctor looks at it in amazement and asks, "what the h*ll's that?" To which the reply is - "It's a hickory daquiri, doc".
