I had a request to connect on Linkedin this morning. The name sounded familiar, so I went to check it out.
Sure enough, I found a link to Stayfriends. Do any of you know the site, or is this predominantly German?

Oh well, to see the profile, I had to join. So I did.

What a horrible site in terms of user friendliness.

If you went to more than one school, you're stuck. You can only enter one school -- well, I managed to enter two, but I couldn't correct the dates. Seriously? There wasn't anything much I could do at all, really -- not even delete my account. I had to google to find out how to go about that.
Why do sites feel the need to make it nigh on impossible for users to leave?

I managed, though, which is a good thing.

I only checked my first school, noticed a few quys from way back were apparently still alive, but then left the site again and told them to stop emailing me. Alas to no avail. They spammed me for many moons before they finally gave up

Well, if they do that I’ll block them.

I've seen adverts for it but they only seem to be in German. I haven't been contacted directly.

Many people found classmates on Friends reunited several years ago. You could also search military units and companies you had worked for. That closed down some time ago now.

Well, seeing as it is impossible to enter your data correctly, I'm not surprised not many people use it. Of those shown who left school with me, I only recognized six. The rest, I've never heard of (and believe me, I knew everybody in my grade).
