I'm Shorty, and I'm an ACE. What's an Ace? Basically, we're members of the h2g2 community, like you, who volunteered to help meet and greet newbies to the site.
Not that you're a newbie; you seem to have been around for quite some time. But if you have any questions, feel free to ask. 
You're an EMT? That's so cool! I'm really interested in medicine-I want to become a doctor. And I'd like to volunteer with the ambulance squad here, but I don't think I could handle the time commitment on top of everything else I do at the moment... High school is such a pain in the butt some days...
