Nickame - Shep
Reason for choice of nickname - Relic of University hockey team.
Which University? - Well two actually, Imperial College and University of Sheffield.
Why two? - Drank and slept too much at Imperial and was asked to leave. Ooops. All worked out nicely in the end though as Sheffield was really good for me and I got a degree eventually.
What now? - After a brief spell working on the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank and a short period at a software company I find myself working for Alcan. I'm a process metallurgist in a plant that recycles aluminium into slabs that go to make drinks cans, foil, Jaguars etc.
After work? - I like beer. I really like beer. Oh, and I play a bit of hockey occasionally before drinking some more beer. I sometimes play computer games over the internet too. Mostly whilst drinking beer. But I'm not an alcoholic. Yet.
Other interests? - I like anything techie and geeky really, from stuff that is smaller than it really should be to stuff that is too big for it's own good.
