As im here via my digi-box and tv can I get any of the symbols one uses,, like the signs you have on your message,, ie cake, cup, etc?

you sure can

if you click on any smiley that you see, like THIS ONE >>
it will take you to the smiley page,
then you pick the smiley that you want and put it in

so < ok> ( with no spaces) will turn into
and < cake> (with no spaces) will turn into

as you are on a Digibox, then you will find that it is easier to get around it you use the "PLAIN" skin ( background colour ), If you go HERE >> : :
<./>/dna/h2g2/plain/UserDetails</.>
And select the plain skin, I think you will find it a lot better, and if you go HERE >> A948602 it will tell you all about it

Ive tried getting onto the Folders Arms but my box cuts out on me everytime, it dont like me going deeper into h2g2 for some reason,, Anyway thanks for the info,,, going to look for smileys and hopefully wont get cut off for trying, sue

Hi,, Ive tried 3 times today and still cant get any furthack of memory on my digibox card, but it cant be that cus I even tried on my daughters box ( with less memory) and the same happens,,, I dont think it likes me,

Hi Sue, do I know you???? Have you cured your digibox problems. Has anyone told you about plain skin? It lets people with digiboxes access longer conversation threads and other things. Cross stitch and a daughter with her own digibox remind me of someone....

Hi Sue I am ok apart from my teeth. I have got to go to dental hospital (17 week waiting list for treatment). I maybe having up to 4 teeth out. That is a result of seein dentist regular for years and having my back teeth filled many times, lol. Sons ok. youngest with me this weekend. Oldest in yorkshire for a weeks holiday. EMMILY from ld is on h2g2 she is an ACE and GURU.

Use search for a friend and you will find her, she is quite well known on H2G2

How are you? I see you've volunteered to be an ACE, Abi (ACEs' team leader) is currently taking a break from recruiting ACEs, there's over 100 of them, some don't visit the site anymore, so Abi's trying to sort that out a bit. I'll let you know when she's recruiting again. (Michael, remind me to do that. )

In the mean time, just enjoy and get to know the site. There's nothing stopping your from saying 'hi' to newbies, anyone can do that. Gotta got boring things to do.
