It's the LJ affect. When you comment on an LJ post you just hit enter to post, but here it's enter to preview. Took me a while to figure it out.

EDIT: guess what I just did when trying to post this...

But I wasn't hitting enter, I was clicking, using the mouse

In fact enter appears to start a new line on the post.

Gah. I guess not then. Still, I know what you mean; I had the same problem after my little time away from here.

Yeah, maybe. Tab once, tab twice... makes all the difference.

Nobody likes extra keystrokes - maybe it's how we know we're not an American site :P

I've figured the button thing out! It's not when you post a journal entry, but when you comment that the buttons are the other way round. So you can tab to post on both LJ and h2g2. *feels proud*

Even if you click, I guess you click either the right or left button.

So Laura solves everything using magic :D
