About Me (Graham C)
I'm a seriously uncool person. I've also reached the stage where I don't care! I like uncool stuff like bridges, ball bearings and Brunel. I like engineering, after all engineers built our world. I sort of work in IT as a programmer, so that would make me a geek, though I'm a Mac guy, which would disqualify me. I am interested in so many things, I have the opposite of attention deficit disorder. Eclectic is a word I like. So is "Snigbug". I came here because of a link my girlfriend sent me and stayed because I love Hitchhiker and the site is great. I intend to write stuff for the guide from time to time, but I don't know what topics they will be about - whatever I'm interested in that day I suppose. I care about good grammar, and the proper use of apostrophes (how uncool is that?) but I don't have that much writing experience, so I hope to learn something. I'm about to emigrate to Australia, so I may write something about that - a continent currently a little underrepresented here. Other stuff about me - I'm a private pilot, just for fun. I wield a mean soldering iron. I tend to bore my friends in pubs with the potted history of pirate radio in the 60s (they pretend to listen politely). I listen to Radio 2 these days (uncool). I'm rather cynical at times, but I also have a sort of naive faith that people are a lot smarter than they are usually assumed to be, so I still have hope. I was going to sort of list a few heroes of mine, but quite frankly it just seems pretentious, and like, as if anyone would be interested. But of course DNA is definitely on it.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
