I missed my third hootoo birthday
Only by a couple of days,but it's the occasion when i get to say thank you to all my friends for been there,and being such lovely people.

past,present...and future!

I don't suppose this will be of much interest to others,but i felt the need to write down what i had been doing recently.
In 2001 i decided to try and trace my ancestors,just for something to do,as i don't get out very much.
I had a little dabble and spoke to a relative..(don't have many of those)who provided me with a basic family tree,which consisted mainly of just the blood line,parents,grandparents,etc!!!
I have found such a lot of information,and must have a large family out there somewhere....but it really is addictive.
Of course i knew i had a great grandfather,but i didn't know that he had five siblings,or that one of his siblings had nine children,who all married and had children!!
I starte off going back to find people,but now i'm finding myself going forward again....there has to be some of their descendants living !!
I thought all the family came from small local towns,but this week discovered my paternal grandmother was born in london,and had two brothers,both born in london too.
I'm looking forward to the warm weather.as i will have to go further afield than the computer to find some of my ancestors,but if you're bored give it a try,i'm sure you'll get hooked!!!

Neglect???

I found time this morning to have a lurk ,and realised that i have been neglecting my friends on h2g2
I have been researching for the family tree,which started originally about four year ago(not the tree,of course)but have spent as much time as possible on the computer,which has only served to give me a lot of health problems!!!
I already had a basic tree to begin with,but found that one of my direct lines siblings had nine children,which set me off on another path!
I had to buy hubby a new supply of ink,as i had printed so much out
,and i am even more curious about relatives now,but i really need to spend more time keeping up with my friends.
I'm 
if i've neglected anyone,but i'll be around a bit more in future!s.

WHY??

I can't see any reasoning to some peoples actions,it's unbelievable !!
My neighbour went on holiday just before christmas...she's a single mum,with a 14 year old daughter,and twin boys of 12,and works really hard.
When she had been away for a week her house was burgled.Not that unusual ,you might think??
The family presents were taken ,of course,we hear about similar cases every year.
The whole family are STILL living in a hotel
The intruders not only took all her valuables,they mashed the furniture up,scattered broken glass,and make up all over the carpets,then ground it all in.They drank her spirits she had bought in,jumped on the beds,and smashed them up ,and what they couldnt take they threw round the house.They even walked all over the clothng they had pulled out of the drawers.
It has been uninhabitable since....and they are still cleaning it up,weeks later.
We are told that money for drugs is the main reason for burglaries nowadays.....but why all the damage???
I really do wonder what is going through these peoples minds when they're doing this sort of thing

Hello to all,and a Very Merry Christmas to everyone.
.There are so many people in hootoo that i feel the need to send Christmas wishes to,but don't have their addresses.so this is a greeting to each one of the wonderful friends i have in here.
Thank you for all the support and friendship you've given me over the past year..it means a lot to me,,,you're all great!!s
