Hey, quiz!

...from Ohio? Some of my best years were spent there...
Hey, quiz!
quizzical Posted Nov 11, 2004
Whereabouts in Ohio? I went to school at Miami U in Oxford and am currently living in Cincinnati. (To tie this to another conversation, the reality show 'Survivor' is really, really popular in Cincinnati - I think the city is the show's top market. And the family from 'Who Wants to Marry My Dad?' is from Mason, a small city just to the north of Cinci. )

I spent a few years living in Cleveland while my mother was in grad school at Case. They were my junior high years and somehow managed to make a big impression. I almost went back to Ohio for college (Kenyon) but for some reason chose New Jersey instead.

Happy to provide a few chuckles. h2g2 is a wonderful place - lots of friendly people to talk to and interesting things to read and do. I also wandered in one day and never left...

Heh, heh. Not me, though; I'm pale blonde through and through, thanks to my Viking ancestors.
Q: What do you call it when a blonde dies her hair brunette?
A: Artificial intelligence.

Was just sharing this exchange & your joke with my son{an adult] He rejoined with this::::
He thinks from the Johnnie Carson[bless him] show, when asked " do you get tired of all the dumb blonde jokes?" She replied "No, I know I'm not dumb, and I know I'm not blonde"..................................................................... ... ..

Coincidentally I happened to turn on the radio this morning to a country station (I seldom listen to country) that was playing a Dolly song. Neat lady. (I agree that she's not dumb. Or blonde. )
We could us a little global warming today; it's about 12 degrees in beautiful sunny Cincinnati. What I've noticed in the last 15 years or so is that somee bird species, like robins, winter in this area. When I was younger you never saw robins around here in winter; they headed south and returned in March.
May as well enjoy the warming while it lasts. If the scientists are right, we're living in a warmer period of an ice age and the cold is getting ready to return. This 'tropical' Viking is feeling nervous...

nice likes, sadly only like blondes when drunk - something to do with being easier to follow when your vision starts to go.
hey ho.
No matter how much you like the books you should probably never visit brentford.

* sadly only like blondes when drunk *
Is that when you're drunk, or when they are?
Alas I'll probably never see Brentford, but I've got such a vivid picture of it in my mind that reality would probably be disappointing. Which reminds me, I was going to visit Amazon.com and order a couple new Rankin books...

Well sober people are better at catching cabs so one person needs to be. Chatting up very drunk girls is just date-rape light - well unless you're sure they want you but are getting drunk to excuse themselves for their(and your) planned slutty behaviour.
