How's life over there?
Here we're all hoping that the govt's completely incompetent handling of the oil spill ('nz's worst environmental disaster') will cost them the election. Apparently even talk back radio bods are really angry with them (they had this five day window at the start of good weather, and they said to just leave it with the private contractors, who had a different agenda of course than protecting the sea and coast and didn't move soon enough).
Not a good year.

Yes, the static convo list is the big problem for me, but clearly it's known already so I won't formally notify the Gurus. (Unless I'm advised otherwise, of course.)
I'm watching the oil spill situation with interest and a degree of horror. Some things should never be left to market forces or profit-seekers. The government should have taken a hands-on role from the start. But then I would say that, seeing as I'm in the business I'm in and I spend a lot of time cleaning up after the private sector when they blunder or find things to be All Too Hard.
