I'm an oldish being from the Puget Sound area in the US, across the water from Seattle, Washington. The geography here could well have been the work of old Slarty Bartfast himself.
My strongest general interests are in science and technology, philosophy of mind and artificial intelligence, and forms of Internet communication/personal networking/community formation, followed by the rest of life, the universe and everything in some kind of confused and changing order.
I write about things that interest me as I learn them or ideas as they occur to me. Writing helps clarify my thoughts and reveal weaknesses.
I publish in the spirit of contributing as well as to test reaction and receive suggestions for improvement. All criticism and suggestions will be received with polite and sincere gratitude, whether they change my writing or not.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
