Well, I'm still here smiley - smiley

Have you seen the new Selfridges building in Birmingham? What do you think of it? Right next to St. Martin's Church, it seems a real out of place smiley - weird monstrosity to me. A bulbous blue building with silver Smarties all over it smiley - doh. I could have understood if the silver discs had been solar panels, but I cannot to see the point, except I suppose, that people talk about it smiley - zzz

Then again, I didn't like the Rotunda originally, but after it survived the bomb blast in 1974, my views changed. It now deserves to stay as a memorial to those who died in that pointless tragedy. It must have been better built that we thought. There is talk of renovation, and a revolving restaurant on top smiley - somersault . Interesting.

Hi, Christopher,

This is a kind of a PS. Please forgive me if I accidentally call you Gorgonzola smiley - cheesecake, but as I like it, in spite of its' strong odour etc. I hope you will forgive me smiley - laugh

You sound like a person who likes to be busy, so you will understand if I buzz off for a while. I have just had 22,000 mealworms delivered smiley - yikes and they need to be properly housed before they get too warm and hungry. smiley - weird or wot?

Hi, Gaz,

Can't comment on your Star Wars piece as I am not a fan smiley - smiley Watched it with my sons many smiley - moon s ago but wasn't hooked.

However, your piece on Kit modelling took me back (a long way!) to when my sons and their father were making model aeroplanes etc. All over the dining table etc. and hanging from their bedroom ceilings. My husband later made a wooden model of a 15th century timbered house, which is now in a case at Middleton Hall, Tamworth.

I think you need to check it closely as I spotted one or two typos, and one or two paragraphs were a bit long, but I think it would be a big help to a new modeller. There will be more expert people to comment on it later, but well done and smiley - goodluck

Well, Selfridges would, wouldn't they smiley - laugh The building is beginning to take over from the Rotunda as the symbol for Birmingham which I think is a pity, but what would an old fuddy duddy like me know smiley - huh
