Bloody, Stinking, BLEEP!ing Parents!!!

smiley - grr
Man, 23 years old and my dad still yells at me. It's embarassing, I tell you. A week and a half ago, he calls me on my cell about something completely irrelevant, then goes off on a tangent that eventually leads him to a conversation we had months ago in which I refused to say that he was always right, which annoyed him, and all of a sudden, he's screaming at me on my cell for nearly three hours!! I mean, really yelling, so much so that I was sitting on the floor with my phone two feet away, and I could hear him fine.smiley - grr

I ended up hanging up on him, after three hours (it was about 2 in the morning, if not 3:00) under the pretext that my battery died, and I haven't talked to him since -- don't want to get yelled at anymore, basically.
How do parents reconcile that within themselves??? How do they look at their fully-grown children, in my case I've been out of his damned household for over eight years, how does he look at me and think that he still has the right to yell and scream and act like a child? I just don't get it.

Marriage, Woo...

Yeah, I think that works... marriage, wooooooo...

It's an odd thought, really, to think that I'll be amrried in less than a year. The date is currently set for 05/05/04, and it's going to be kind of a multi-religion ceremony.
We're going for the Christian setup, like having the bridesmaids and all that, but a Goth theme, a Wiccan ceremony, and probably some Native American tradition thrown in for good measure, as the wonderful woman I'm marrying, depite the fact that she's tall, blonde, and white, has a good portion of Native American in her, and a full-fledged Native family.
Wooooooo... can't think of anything better to describe the wonderful, exciting, vaguely nauseating feeling... I mean, damn, man, who'd'a ever thought that /I/, of all people, would be joining the ranks of the married??? Kinda freaky, when you think about it -- I keep looking out my window, expecting a pig to fly pastsmiley - silly

It's a good feeling, to know that the wonderful, beautiful woman I'm with will soon be my beloved bride... not quite like any other feeling I've ever had. So glorious it's scary as hell...

smiley - ermI wonder if I'll have to stop wearing my loincloth?smiley - yikes

Good Karma, Finally!!!

smiley - wowsmiley - wowsmiley - wow
I am so giddy right now that I can barely think straight, and as such this may not make a whole lot of sense.
Nonetheless, I am pleased to announce to the world that I have at last proven my father wrong, and that threesomes CAN worksmiley - wow

So there.

smiley - bleep, I'll take on every cop in the state if it'll bring me karma like this.

And I have no idea why I'm sharing this with everyone, other than that I burst out giggling every few minutes and I'm hoping to stop it, so I figured telling somebody would help.

Plus it's a nice change from my usual "Oh smiley - bleep, guess what smiley - bleeping terrible thing happened now" sort of journal entry.

So if you don't like it, feel free to smiley - bleep right off, 'cause I could die a happy, happy man right now.smiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrin
