Life will not stop. Life goes on.
My efforts to deal with Environmental problemes for solutions are in my focus for my Internet operation.
After closing the HOLIDAY ISSUE the next page is waiting for publishing. Independently supported only on own budget with the cry of the wolf's: "We are hungry but free! We don't serve a master for the food like a lapdog!"
Sneak preview about the title: "Punishment to fit the crime!" Or perhaps in an other form, but the content is about crime and to bear the consequences. Blue bird :---(

That is all right. I am sure the kitten knows what is best for her/him.
I dedicate this Christmas with my new page in my Web Site to the preservation of trees.
Not published yet, but it is done.
My Christmas Eve work was very enjoyable,--- just working hard.
My holiday was on Dec.21 Solstice the rest is just good life.
Stephen sorry I don't break the rules of my Internet policy: communications only on Internet.-- No personal involvment with telephone, or meeting etc.
I know many people are looking for such connections, but not me!
I am happy and satisfied with my life as it is.
Thank you for your compliments, but I am a very independent and intraverted person.
Enjoy the Holiday in your Summer time! Blue bird

Good Morning Blue Bird,
I am quite happy to communicate by internet only..
Environmental issues are big in Australia, but governments are slow to catch up with their obligations...
Enjoy Your Xmas...

Tomorrow guests are coming. Last installment of Xmas stuff.
The man is my Technical support in Yoolly Studio,- but does not function since months.
Hell of a family life there,----in my opinion: just a mess. They are doing it,- nobody else.
So much for that.
One more week till New Year and things will quiet down.
Happy New Year wishes from Blue bird.

HELLO STEPHEN: i JUST GOT AN IDEA WITH YOUR EXPERTISE IN METAL.
BECAUSE MY SEARCH IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL "MESS" I HAVE SEEN SOME TIME AGO WHEN THEY BUILT HERE IN THE SUBURB A HOUSING COMPLEX AND THEY WERE USING A LOT OF METAL PARTS INSTEAD OF WOOD.
FOR MANY REASONS I KNOW IT IS MUCH BETTER THAN WOOD.
WHAT DO YOU SAY ABOUT IT?
I AM PARTICULARLY INTERESTED IN THE DEFORESTATION ISSUE. I KNOW THAT THE CUTTING DOWN THE TREES IS CAUSING MUCH BIGGER PROBLEM THAN ANYBODY WOULD THINK!
SAY SOMETHING ABOUT METAL SUBSTITUTE FOR WOOD. IN EUROPE THEY DON'T HAVE WOOD FOR BUILDING LIKE HERE,-- BUT NOTHING LAST FOR EVER.
IF THERE IS NO WOOD, THEY WILL USE OTHER STUFF.
THIS IS AN AGENDA: I WOULD WELCOME YOUR OPINION.
THANKS. BLUE BIRD.

I understand your concern Blue Bird. However, building a structure of metal carries a big concern as the metal, typically steel, requires chemical treatment of some sort as a protective coating, in order to avoid degradation. This breaks down over a relatively short period of time, and the chemical treatment leaches out.
Building a structure of wood is fine, for example, in Tasmania there are many plantations of Radiata Pine, highly suitable for home building. Sure, the original old growth was logged many years ago, but at least the remnants have been preserved for all time. We cannot answer for, or return, our old growth forests to their past condition as many of these old trees were and are over a thouand years of age. We can only maintain what is left.
Sorry dear Blue Bird, but that is the only answer I can give.

What I have seen here in my naighborhood in that house building had no steel involved at all. These "cheap" house building and the light structure does not require heavy metal I think the stads were aluminum. Certainly looked good instead of wood. I am sure the cost was very reasonable, may be cheaper than wood. As that gets scares the prices are so high that they must look for cheaper solution.
I love architecture, and in my house repairs I buy some aluminum sheets and enjoy to see as they do a good job.
May be make some foto and send you. No big deal, but these things are really very cheap. Blue bird!

To Traveller in Time I did put the caps lock on in purpose to call attention for what I am trying to say.
Stepen was thinking of steel structures, but here we talking about very light structures! Thanks for "commenting". Blue bird

I don't know about overseas building practices. Here in Australia, the majority of domestic residences are of wood and brick construction, while high rise buildings, factories and warehouses are generally all metal or metal and concrete and glass. Maybe it all comes down to a matter of price and taste and some other considerations.
