As I have the same malady, I thought I would say hello.

Good name. It invokes thoughts of the Knights Templar who have always been a source of fascination and the Mayans.

i.e. You mention books. None of the mentioned I have read, but have you ever read `The Holy Blood and The Holy Grail`? Definitely food for thought.

As for the Mayans, their calendar is still accurate to this day.

Should we believe their prophecies of astrology, the `end` should come somewhere along the lines of May 12th 2012.

In the Phoenix Cards, there is one particular one that refers to the Mayan Priest. A good card.

Sorry for the delay!

I have just got hold of Holy Blood Holy Grail after reading the Templar Revelations.

The history and conjecture in both these books is fascinating. Were the Templars just warrior monks fighting for the Pope in the Crusades and protectors of travellers in the Middle-East or was there a darker, secret purpose to the order? If innocent, did they came across esoteric knowledge in their travels which distorted the order via returning members and further distorted when they were lauded and gifted especially with concessions which further increased their wealth? Was their treasure material or information? If it was information was it the truth about Jesus, the Magdelane and John the Baptist? Or did they merely become too greedy at a time when the King of France was weak and so it was simple for him to gather salacious material about a decadent order? Did they engender suspicion due to links to Muslim leaders they respected as chivalrous?

Was occult and alchemic research a reflex to the Dark Ages and a response to the freedom Renaissance with minds heading off in all direction in search of knowledge and scientific method. Was Masonry and Illuminati in a similar category; societies for mutual social and spiritual benefit?

I believe there is a corollary to “History is written by the victors”; “There is a mass of history of the losers that is just as valuable”.

I am still looking for references to the conspiracy manipulating world governments since prehistory as an alternate to Von Daniken.
