h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

You may not know - no reason why you should - that the h2g2 Community Consortium is putting together a collection of entries to promote the site and to publicise the general awesomeness of h2g2.

Because we aren't the BBC we need to get permission from the writers - which is why I've dropped by your space. I'd like to use one of your entries, probably The Three Ages of Music.

Please let me know either way if you are happy with this.

Just noticed that the link in footnote 1 is broken. The reference to Jewish temple chant is mentioned here: http://scholagregorianaofnorthumbria.blogspot.com/ (although you may well find something more appropriate).

Also, Dr Mary Berry seems to have died in 2008.
