You're so mean!

You can download them all (legally) from the Scumm Bar website
It's one of the few games where the soundtrack never bothered me at all, quite the contrary. Another one with an excellent soundtrack being Discworld Noir.
I've longed for the head of the navigator fairly often when lost somewhere

That's where I got them
I've never tried discworld noir However, I have played Sam and Max (but the soundtrack can be annoying), and Day of the Tentacle (mmmh... no soundtrack?) By the way, have you tried the latest MI installment? (I haven't)
You mean you lost your navigator's head? How clumsy

Oh, Mr Teeeeentacle guy! Maniac Mansion, too?
I love those classic point and click adventures.
Sam and Max Hit The Road is good; I've not tried the new ones. Nor MI, but I've heard bad reviews of that, alas

Ach, disappointment!
No, I never got hold of Maniac Mansion unfortunately. And the trick which is supposed to allow you to play it whilst enjoying DotT didn't work on my version
I meant Sam and Max Hit the Road indeed. Don't you just love Max?
These old click and point are good, and even better when you cannot die (or get irremediably stuck). Although, technically, you *can* die in MI 1 (and you have to in MI 3 or 4 if I remember well).

I'm wearing a watch with Max on it, in fact
I think we still have MM somewhere, but it's on 5 1/4" floppies
Dying was so annoying in King's Quest, everything killed you
(Sorry I'm slow in replying. I am busy drawing geometrically improbable alien spaceships )

Take your time I shouldn't answer too fast, I'm supposed to be cooking

King's Quest, I've started playing KQ5 once but got stuck in a place where you needed a password (the kind they give you when you actually buy the game, not one you could find playing). Never got hold of one
Oh no, there was an amusing game called 'countdown', aka 'the lobotomy game' (you have to escape a lunatic asylum at the beginning and they tend to catch you a lot ). This one did have the problem that if you didn't do the correct thing at one point you wouldn't be able to progress later.
Plus, the sounds were interfering with your mouse, so that in one particular point I had to switch to 'no sound FX' mode. You had to escape a tiger by lulling it into a cage or something, which required swifness and a steady hand. Couldn't do it when the mouse stopped working every time the tiger was making a noise (pretty much all the time).

Have you ever tried Fool's Errand?

Oooh, Fool's Errand is online?
If you were playing on a Mac, I'm sure you know 3 in Three, too. Ah, the memories
(Enjoy that dinner, looks !)

(My mother's bought a new computer twice for playing Monkey Island - first time, the Hercules graphics, yellow on black, wouldn't let her find something to click on, then, she needed a 3D graphics card for the last one... )
You're so mean!

I see you have a dedicated mother
Oh yes, 3 in Three. And another weird one whose name escapes me at the moment.
The dinner was very successful, which is fortunate because it took me 4 hours Very commendable, if you like cooking messy things.

I'd forgotten about that one. I'm just a little too young to remember playing them, but I spent hours watching and "helping" my mother.
Loom gave my sister and me nightmares
( Four hours? I hope you made enough for two days!)
