h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I'm subbing your Entry on Gauss Integers. The subbed version is at A25733991 but I haven't finished it yet, specifically because I have two questions to ask you:

1. These seem to be called Gaussian integers in English rather than Gauss integers. Do you have any objection if I use this term?

2. You skip over division of Gauss integers and go straight to division with remainder. Is this deliberate? Would you prefer if there were a short section on division by using the complex conjugate?

1. You can use the terminology Gaussian integer, that's no problem with me

2. Actually, skipping the division procedure was deliberate. I had in mind a reader who would have never met complex numbers before, so that he shouldn't get scared away by too many technicalities (the division procedure involves conjugation, multiplication and, in the end, rational numbers, which I didn't want to use either).

Although the procedure is actually not very difficult, I was trying to focus more on the similarity between ordinary arithmetic and arithmetic in an unexpected setting. Multiplication was detailed in order to give a feeling of what Gaussian integers are.

Does this look sensible?
