There seem to be a few of you. There's also dolphin girl (U25691).
Cetacen is right, but I don't know if either of us have spelled it right.
But have a fish anyway.

By the way, have you ever read a very entertaining book by Alan dean Foster set on a water world, that had been colonised by earth and given as a present to the cetacens as an apology for how much we had messed up Earths seas.
This was the first time I came across the term.

how did you do that fish thing? BTW thanks's for confirming the word. I've always been rather nervous I was linking myself in with snails or sea anemonies...which are kinda tasty...jk

The books called Cachalot, I've just found it again.
It's not one of his humour ones its straight SF.
With Alan Dean Foster, one of the most amazing things is how many books he produces.
He also approaches the film tie in work with an admirable level of professionalism, when most people just treat it as hackwork and put no effort in.

I know what you mean about the movie tie -ins. Most of the time it's just a description of what goes on on the screen, or maybe the script, or an earlier version of the script, and so messes up the actual plot.
The reason to read a novelization is to better understand the character's, get into their heads, read extra scences.
George Gipe was another one good at it. He did "Gremlins" and "Back to the Future" and added whole new things to it.
