I haven't been here for two years - I am now waiting for one more year to reach 80
But in the meantime.
Some years ago I heard a comic version of The weather forecast for the shipping news . I think the voice sounded very like that of Geoffrey Palmer .
I had a voice copy on my computer in , of all places iTunes , but lost it in a breakdown of the machine.
Has anyone got any idea of where I might find a copy again ?
It is not the version on Utube with Fry and co.
Any info would be greatly appreciated

Removal of entries

How do I remove the two entries that have been included in Edited Entries from the * list of the most recent Guide Entries you have created * ?
It seems a bit pointless leaving them there when they are now part of Edited Entries
Or is it that the valuable comments and critiques made upon them have to be left with them ?

I have just found it -- I have read -- well ,skimmed -- one entry .
It's a doozy !!!!!!
I think I have found a source of wonderment and entertainment into which I will dip when I need to remind myself that I am sane . I think .

Fringe drama Companies

Long ago , in a far distant country, I travelled about studying the work of theatre companies might loosely be thought of as * Fringe * groups .
There was a plethora of them -- of very high quality , and for instance I spent a memorable week at a conference in Cardiff feasting on the work of companies that catered for children's drama.
I also visited many Colleges and schools all over the country looking at the work of their drama departments .
In fact , I saw 222 performances in 369 days ,( and that time was diminished by other commitments ! )
I have not been back to Great Britain since that memorable year 1979 , and though long retired from the drama scene here in Australia , I often wonder what the present situation is like .
Would anyone care to enlighten me ?

on the roundabout

For a while there , when I opened my space , I was confronted ( quite pleasantly I might add ) with a long list of entries from h2g2 . It worried me that while I was away for a couple of months , that they might drown me.
However , by dint of repetitious unsubscribing I have reduced them to a few still unread .
I am ,though , finding this a very capricious site -- one which I am unable to master as yet-- unsubscribing or subscribing seems to give the oddest results-- feast or famine .
Bit worried about the *Friends * list too . I have only added one person , but how do I contact that person without it being published in the latest entries ?
I don't have anything private to impart , but just wonder whether there is any way of simple person to person communication ?
