For myself - I'm also fairly new, here - I couldn't agree more, with; the strong coffee, chocolate (I'm munching some excellent bittersweet, right now), music, & twilight. In fact, the twilight & the music are somewhat linked in my case. I volunteer at a local Jazz & Blues club, & while admittedly I kind of miss the true twilight, for a portion of the year, I often find myself , making my way there in the various stages, of the twilight hours. In any case, just thought I'd pop in, & say 'hello','welcome aboard', & all that.

Thank u, it is so nice to hear kind words and someone to pop in and say hello.
Well, the fact that I am still new, can be supported in addition by my late discovery of this sweet 'hello' msg - for which I beg your pardon. Simply sometimes I feel myself little bit helpless in the h2g2 labyrinth). Well, I guess my restricted time also has something to do with it.
I have to admit you that with the winter (hateful season) knocking on the door, I am getting more and more susceptible to buying chocolate on daily basis and eating it at the same pace. Not flattering for my diet regime.
My excuse is that I walk my dachshund who is 5 months old 3 times per day so I burn lot of calories.
Unfortunately, I also often miss the true twilight, maybe that's why I am so fond of it. But I have spotted some twilight in some music clubs so that gives me some comfort Hope the same is with u
Pop in again whenever u wanna share sth about dark shades and mostly sweet chocolate.
Enjoy yourself tonight if u are a Hallo' fan

Yes, I know what you mean, about the 'h2g2 labyrinth',lol, good term. A five month old dacshund, thats great, I'm a 'dog person', myself. Its always nice to get a message, so, don't be too worried about the 'time frame'. Just a brief note, to acknowledge that I got your message - got some tidying up to do(& of course, some brownies, to munch on, as I watch That '70's Show, & Monk, later )

It is my last day at my current job today. All the people are so kind and loving and I am just asking myself 'Did I really need that change, did I do the right thing with my move?' I know the answer is Yes but still I feel sad and on the verge of crying coz I'll miss many people here.
Oh, seems I can't be tempted now even by Lindt chocolate which is a signal of very serious sorrow

Yes, those changes are always hard, aren't they? I just got in, awhile ago, from the club that I volunteer at (check www.yardbirdsuite.com ). They had a solo pianist, tonight, he was really quite good. It was a real change, from Fri. night , when they'd had a 7pc. local group.

So do you volunteer at this club Yardbirdsuite, eh?
Sounds so volunteering if u get what I mean
I mean I find this so different from everything I have imagined for the clubs.
Do you go there every night and if yes, how do you manage with the rest of your responsibilities, if any
Sorry if this seems too personal, I am not the nosy type, so u are not supposed to answer if you don't feel inclined.
Good that you have enjoyed the solo pianist.
We had the first snow here today so the winter popped in.
It is so hot where I am now, I am dying for a soft drink so I need to go.

No, not every night. Usually just Fri.,& Sat. nights, although I have been meaning to check out one of their jam sessions, on Tues. night, could be quite interesting.Unfortunately, we've had snow for awhile now, most of it has melted, but there are traces left here & there.

My dog is not very fond of the snow, especially when no one is able to privide him with some warm coat or anything from the type.
I myself am not fond of snow, winter and the other related distress either, though, I have some warm clothes.
So tonight you'll be there and probably enjoy the music. Hopefully, the band will be worthwhile.
I was also planning to visit one of my favorite 'boites de nuits', no it is not boite de nuits but a pretty cozy life music club, tonight but as things are moving, I'll rather bet on Friday evening at home in the bed with some Lindt by my side, dog by the other and an interesting book in my hands.
Still I don't know, it is Friday evening after all, so we'll see...

Hi
How are you doing?
How can you keep your chin up there in Canada with this cold and long winter?
Is there any recipe that prevents one's heart and mind from freezing or the clue is chocolate and extrovert attitude and pro-active behaviour and trying to keep internal balance between body, soul and mind?
How's the club?
