It's always the same. Whenever I have to say something about myself, or introduce myself, I can never think of anything worth saying. Oh well, lets start with where I am. I am in Spain. Somewhere in the middle, to be exact. What I am doing here is open to debate, as long as I don't have to be involved. I think the original plan involved vague notions of learning Spanish, which I have done, so now I have no real exscuse to be here, save for the fact that I can't think of a good reason to leave yet.
In theory I am an archaeologist, or more accurately someone who has studied archaeology at university. My only archaeological abilities at the moment all have something to do with failing miserably at getting any type of job in archaeology, or this being spain, getting jobs in archaeology for which I am consequently not paid, for reasons varying from simply being english (Oh yes, I should have said, I am English, at least most of the time) to not being sufficiently qualified to be worth paying.
As a result, I am currently a waiter in a hotel in the mountains, and I have taken to telling all those who ask that I am a writer seeking inspiration. Quite what inspiration I could be seeking working 14 hours a day in a restaurant is a major stumbling point for me, but not, it appears for any of my customers.
Well, that's me. I hooked up to this site purely out of curiosity and for the possibility of conducting an intelligable conversation, albeit slightly time delayed, in ANY language other than Spanish, which is begging to get on my nerves.
By the way, I have no idea if this is suitable introduction material, but it will have to do to be getting along with - I have to go back to work in twenty minutes.
