I just want to howl like a wolf! I find the best way of dealing with my noisy neighbours is to beat them into submission. No Hi Fi or amp in existence can keep up with my guitar amp, they always give up! Still it doesn't solve your problem, so fingers crossed for the meeting!

My husband howls and gets the dogs going.
I wonder what the neighbors think?
Actually I sort of know- they think we are odd
Which is ok with both of us.

I'd rather be thought odd and be happy than be conformist and unhappy.

Hi Abbi & RK, I just want to be happy Must admit felt a bit low yesterday, but I think the thought that at least we will have a chance to explain our situation when that council woman comes to see us next Monday, is giving us both a ray of hope!

Well I wouldnt be at all surprised RK! but at least we can have a chance to put our case over. Mind you we dont have a social worker, so we will have to wait & see?

Things'll turn out like they turn out. Just do your best to make sure they turn out best for you.

Well I only hope so! we have at least 4 people who have heard the noise for them selves, and sent in letters stating that, (not including our MP who came to see us)So if common sense is applied, we have a good case! Then again we are dealing with Council Officials?

Sanity is a place rarely visited by council officials.

This is the same council that put Lowered Paving kerbs in front of a tree in my garden, and put in the High Ones at the front of my drive?
So no probs. RK, we are not going to fight with that kind of reasoning!

"My veiw is that I dont care where I watch films as long as the atmosphere is good, nobody disturbs my pleasure, and most importantly the film is great"
Yup, that's exactly why I'd rather watch a DVD at home now too. 2 Towers was excellent - can't wait for The Return of the King...it'll be a shame when the trilogy is finished.

It's not the submissive attitude I was aiming for, just the desire for an end to the problems.

You could try unconventional tactics otherwise...
Pretending to move a body
Loudly exclaiming "What? You promised a Zebra!" down the phone
Whenever they greet you reply with "Smoke me a kipper"
Burn incense in the hall.
Read newspapers upside down, and pretend there's nothing wrong when they ask you about it.
And other such things.

Ah! if only RK! It appears that because she is an unsociable loud ignorant single mother, who has already had two kids taken from her by social services! She can make as much noise as she wants! This was from the coucil official who was dealing with our complaint?
It appears that if you have a social worker on your side, you cant do any thing wrong!
Leads me to wonder just whats happening in our country these days?
Smudger.

H2G2 is going nuts!
I posted my previous message (a bit up this page) on a completely different conversation and it's appeared here instead.
What's going on?
