Hi RK, We all have our own reasons for smoking, I think mine was it relaxed me in moments of sheer terror and stress, (there have been a lot of them in my time)Also everyone smoked when I was in the R.N. so didnt look out of step, if you know what I mean.

Well to be honest RK I wish I could stop smoking, but its been many years since I started! I admire your opinion in not starting, and hope that you stick by it. It is really hard to stop, and I dont want to even try now at my time of life!

Both my parents smoked. They said that the important thing is to actually do it. When you cave in once, you'll probably cave in again. Sure there's packs and things like that you can get if you're serious.

Hi RK, for that, but we are about it. Our main problem just now is rowdy neighbours! living above us making our life Hell! The council so far seem to be on their side as the single mother upstairs has a "social worker" for her drug habit!!
On the phone today with a snotty concil housing official! I lost my temper which was no bad thing as it turns out as she is coming to see us on 15.9.03 with a view of buying our flat back for council use and helping us to get a pensioner bungalow!
Not that we are of that age,BTW , just for the peace and quiet, which we have not had for "four & a half years"
So heres hoping!

That may end up ok if you can find another place you like better.
I know the neighbors have been a pain in the neck for a long time!

If they offer grab it Big Man! noise from others is hard to bear, but the noise of others getting it on is worse (but you can get revenge).
For revenge listen out for a pet name and call the named one that next time you see them.

I rather suspect that I am an annoying neighbour (I periodically make lots of noise with my drums and electric guitar) rather than suffering from them. Although there are students next door, need I say more.

Hi Abbi, Smurfles, RK, & TK We dont have a dog? or any pets, Just each other Its not loud music we are suffering from? Its the non stop running around, door slamming & banging that we get when all the kids & adults gather up there, sometimes up to 14 of them. Also they have no carpets, just that laminate flooring!!
Along with the early morning visitors from 2am-6am??
Any way, hope to have good news after this meeting

Lots of people, making lots of noise? I suppose yelling "shut up!" hasn't worked?
sometimes
Smudger879n Posted Sep 6, 2003
Hi RK, No in fact it had the opposite effect RK, she called the police and told them that my "Shouting Up" frightened her kids
I was only too surprised to learn that they Heard Me! above all all their own noise!!

I wanna be able to scream and shout and sing and make it like all the demons of hell just decided to inhabit by larynx. Guess my music tastes.
