...is not my real name (though, actually, my real name is quite similar). I'm feeling slightly apprehensive about introducing myself, potentially, to the entire universe. I hadn't really thought about what I was going to say.
I have been telling people for years that it would be a really good thing to set up an actual H2G2, for the planet at least. I feel a bit put out that one has actually been around for three years and nobody thought to tell me! Ah well, never mind, I'm here now.
I am a computer analyst programmer, living in Bethnal Green, East London. I am about to start a new job in Uxbridge. I was made redundant from my previous job in Covent Garden in March. I'm not at all bitter about now having to work 20 miles away, when I used to work 20 minutes cycle ride away in the heart of the West End.
I like running, swimming, cinema, modern dance and, most of all, eating. I am looking forward to contributing to some of the topics on H2G2. My boyfriend thinks that I think that I know everything, but I would like to say now that this is not true. I just enjoy putting forward my opinions, and what knowledge I have. I look forward to having that knowledge rectified and expanded in future exchanges on this site.

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
