Hi, TPC! It *was* fun, but no cake. Plenty of chocolate, though. We delayed my big dinner out until Saturday night, since weeknights can be dicey for us. But come Saturday -- STEAK.

only the cherry blossoms In the wind, things seem to be going back to the normal now.

How did your birthday?, do tell.

How’s mars?

You seem to have a lot to keep you of HooToo.
Hope it slow down soon.

I hope they slow down a bit too. Problem is I'm always hootooing at work, so of course things get too busy to post. Once I'm home, I don't even want to look at a computer, plus all my European pals are asleep.

Mars is doing well. Now 7 months, 13 pounds (6 kilos) and still a wild man after being neutered more than a month ago. Our older cat hates the sight of him, since he leaps on her, throws his paws around her neck and sinks his teeth into her every time he sees her.

Birthday was nice. Went to visit some old friends in Atlanta, Georgia, several states south of here. Got Norah Jones' new album for a present.

So you've been really busy too?

Having a few weeks off, with a busted digit. Time to get thing up and running again at home. I have lost track of my friends over the last few months, and I am feeling a bit guilty. So I’m making the effort while I have the time. Last time we'ed spoken you where doing the 9/11 anniversary edition. And then your Christmas card followed by a birthday song. smiley - winkeye

Do you think Mars will ever settle down, or is he going to be a rambunctious young man all his adult life, are maine coon rambunctious normally?, still fascinated by water?, think you might get another?.

Neither of our previous two were anywhere near this rambunctious. We're still hoping he'll settle down a bit. We actually have been talking about a third cat, for him to have someone to play with since Tabitha hates his guts, but we'd prefer to remain a two-cat house. Yes, he still loves water. That's a Maine Coon sport.

How'd you break the finger?

hi Big red.
Dropped a shelf on it, from 5 feet up to wall. . Don’t do things by half’s me.

Have you a pool in your garden?.
What you working on at work now? If I may ask.
I see new finger printing hardware is about to be installed at you air/sea ports, wise I think. BTW, is it OK to put you on my friends list? please.

Yes, please put me on your friends list! All I ever talk about is cats and music and movies, though. Hee hee.

Right now I'm sitting here waiting for three stories on Iraq, a main story on today's news, a sidebar piece on Muqtada al Sadr (our reporter visited his headquarters in Kufa today) and a piece on what this Shiite uprising could mean for Bush -- he can't exactly pass off these people as "foreign terrorists and Saddam loyalists." That's whom his administration has been blaming for the violence up till now.

I feel odd about the U.S. fingerprinting/photographing British, French citizens, etc., and worry about retaliation. Then again, the shoe bomber was a British citizen. Then again, he caused his trouble before he ever got to the U.S. (See how I can work both sides of an argument? smiley - biggrin )

No pool in the garden, only a birdbath, though my husband would love to have one. Do you have one?

Don’t see much of zantac and TPC now smiley - sadface hope she’s OK.

“Main story, that should be interesting”, how do you think he will work his way out?

The U.S. fingerprinting, Opinion over here is in favour I am told by the press. And personally I am in favour, lesser of two evils. O, have you still got that inflatable alligator by your office desk,

Films, Oo have you, seen The Passion of Christ; it’s causing a bit of a stir this side of the pond.

Goodnight for now.

Good night! smiley - sleepy I'm glad to hear the Brits aren't peeved about the fingerprinting. The Brazilians started doing it to us too in retaliation, except they don't have the technology and are using inkpads and paper! So it's taking forever. (A U.S. pilot gave them the finger when they took his picture. I thought that was pretty funny but he got fined for it. Oh well.)

Yes, the gators are still there, but I don't know what their fate will be when we move into posher digs in June.

I miss Zantic and TPC, too, not to mention Dent. All my friends seem to have drifted away, which is why I was so pleased to hear from you today.

Haven't seen "Passion" and don't really want to; I'm squeamish about gore. It's caused a bit of a stir here, too, though more *before* it opened than afterward.

Re Bush and the war, I have no idea what he's going to do. The consensus in my office is the Shiite uprising really could be trouble. I was against this war from the very beginning and I can't believe 600 American kids have died for NO REASON. Not to mention those maimed by bombings.

I'll end on that not-so-cheery note and talk to you tomorrow.

Good moring my friend Big red. How you on this wunderfully wet spring day :) He got fined for it money well spent if you ask me., Oo, new digs in June, must tell us all. Sound like some fun to be had., Do we need to start a undercover operation to sneak in the inflatable gators.Mr small tree seem to do it all the time so why cant we, Please say yes. I know a lot about inflatable, no thats not it at all. I was told that the last part of TPOTC has been cut due to the gore. No doubt a market will spring from that, be it black, gray or white. Zantic was having a bad time last I seen, and TPC started a new job. Dents ghost is around still, hopefully all things will return to equilibrium. Give a little more time. O BTW. TDBW=the dig box wars http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F138071?thread=375360&latest=1 See you later err no, to corny. Have a nice day now, as my dad would say.;) ED :)

Morning, Ed (for short). Just barely still morning here, but very sunny and warmer than yesterday (supposed to hit 58 F; 14 C). Nasty wind has died down too.

You make a good point about the gators. I think they need to go. We can find a home for them somewhere. Who's Mr. Small Tree?

Re cutting "Passion," was that just for European market, or was it cut entirely before film was released? I remember when Kubrick's "Eyes Wide Shut" was released, they digitally inserted bodies over the fornicating ones in the orgy scene so as not to offend Americans' puritanical sensibilities. How embarrassing. We have no problem with gore, tho! sigh.

I remember Zantic was not doing well, and sure wish we'd hear from her. I recently was diagnosed with depression myself, much to my surprise.

Morning Br (for short) :) Just ending the sun for the day. the last of the orange rays are falling on the fields over the back and the shadows are getting long, the flowers have all pointed their faces down for the night, Their perfume is drifting away into the night sky, leaving us with the aroma of aviation fuel. Rhubarb is starting to show. Must get some custard on the go soon. Just had a hail storm/et. Its been wet here today, but warm. Still the garden likes it. Talking about wet and warm, have you seen the questionnaire? http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/F19585?thread=404051 I am 86% female, normally %gay . Worth $28,000,000 , with just a little more than normal intellect . Guess it's back to the drawing board then. A Small tree is a bush ;) politically correctness drive is on. I ort to use my own connection while Im off work, mind you I am still doing phony support for them. . I dont know yet how much and from where the edits were in TPOTC, but I have asked around and somethings most likely to comeback soon. "We have no problem with gore" :) just small trees then, or have I got it wrong!!! Think depression and stress is a consequence of modern life, but then I never did know what I was talking about, never having suffered from it. >>much to my surprise<< Makes it sound as if, you dont quite, just agree with them? do tell. O are you going to set up a campaign to save the inflatable alligator (CIA) then?, can I be your first member?. Will you post it H2G2 :)? Excuse me ,while I go and see what trouble my wife is getting me in to on here. ED :) ........baaccckkkk sssssooooon..........

Small tree! I get it. Of course.

Americans don't have as much of a problem with the small tree as I would like them to. Let's see. November is still far off (election).

With the depression, it's not that I don't agree, it's that I was surprised, because the symptoms are more varied than I thought, I guess.

I'm going to go check out that questionnnaire.
